I have opened an email sent by a friend and clicked on a link that looked legitimate and harmless. Once i opened the attachment, it automatically downloads software to my computer. I do not know what has happened and how to fix it.


solutions

1.Disconnect your computer from the internet immediately (This prevents malware from communicating with external servers or stealing more data)

2.Run a full scan with an updated 

3.Learn to recognize fake emails and links.

4.Check for and remove suspicious programs

5.Change your passwords

    Good advice! It’s easy to fall for fake emails that look real. Disconnecting from the internet and running a full scan right away can really help stop more damage.
